Kelsey Hammond is a PhD candidate in English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research explores how interactions with generative AI, reflective writing, and discernment practices shape identity, pedagogy, and the human-technology relationship.
Kelsey draws on adult learning theory in her work with pre-service and in-service English teachers, college students, and educators of adult English learners. Through teaching, professional development, and scholarship, she aims to equip educators with tools to critically and reflectively navigate the integration of AI in teaching and learning.
